Clubs & VenuesThe websites say dress code is enforced but what does that actually mean in practice? Can I wear jeans? Do I really need a suit jacket? Ladies — what do you actually wear?

Dress codes vary by club in Salt Lake City, but here's the general guide:
For men:
- Button-down shirt (tucked or untucked) — ALWAYS safe
- Dress pants or dark jeans — most clubs allow dark jeans
- Clean dress shoes or nice loafers — no sneakers, sandals, or boots
- No shorts, no graphic tees, no hats
For women:
- Honestly, anything sexy goes. Cocktail dress, lingerie, bodycon — you'll see it all
- Heels are common but not required
- Many women bring an outfit to change into once inside
Actually enforced?
- Most Salt Lake City clubs WILL turn men away for sneakers, shorts, or sloppy attire
- Women almost never get turned away regardless of outfit
- When in doubt, slightly overdress — you can always take layers off
